DCUO - Gnarled Furniture

The Gnarled furniture purchasable from the Spring event vendor looks really nice! Here are several screenshots of them in my Tech lair.
The 1st pic has (from left to right) a Gnarled Bed, a Gnarled Nightstand, and a Gnarled Hanging Chair.
The 2nd pic has (from left to right) a Gnarled Coffee Table, and a Gnarled Accent Table.
The 3rd pic is basically the 1st pic including Hanging Ivy (top, foreground), Gnarled Chair, Gnarled Couch, and Gnarled Coffee Table.
The 4th pic has a Gnarled Divider in the background and Gnarled Dining Table & Chairs in the foreground.
The 5th pic has a Gnarled Armoire on the left and a Gnarled Accent Table on the right.
The 6th pic has Hanging Ivy (seasonal event drop only).

Seasonal event-only furniture drops are:

All other furniture drops are purchasable from the seasonal event vendor for 8 spring event tokens each.

DCUO - Finished Punchline set!

Woot, got my last Punchline piece this morning. Spent about $20 worth of replays from start to end. In the process of replaying 1v1 Lair Battles, I managed to get several CR 84 weapons (including the coveted MA weapon), a CR 84 mask, necklace, ring and trinket. This managed to pull my CR up so that I did not have to purchase the full T1/T2/T3 sets before I could buy the T4 set. Completing numerous arena missions on the way also helped me to save on replay badges. Some people reported spending up to $40 on replay badges to get full T4 PVP. Overall, the grind this time round for Punchline gear was much shorter than compared to the grind for Checkmate gear. I'm thankful to the devs for speeding up the process!

Below are my stats in full Punchline DPS gear, modded with precision and precision-hybrid mods in all slots, and outfitted with the T4 PVP trinket, utility belt, 2 rings, face-mask and necklace. As you can see, one can achieve almost 9k health with 26.3% damage reduction.

DCUO - Brave Wings and Half Domino

Here's my character with Brave Wings head style and Half Domino face style. I quite like this look =)

DCUO - DLC 7: Origin Crisis launcher ad

The Launcher has updated to show an ad for DLC 7: Origin Crisis. I like the font for the text. The font looks really cool, and if you notice, shares the same color as the light-bluish-green weapon glow which each weapon style has in the Digital Weapons pack.

DCUO - New Styles in DLC 7: Origin Crisis

Here's a look at the new iconic-inspired styles coming out in DLC 7: Origin Crisis! From left to right are: hero Huntress-inspired T4 PVP set, hero Aquaman-inspired T5 PVE set, shared hero-and-villain Booster Gold-inspired PVE set, villain Black Manta-inspired T5 PVE set, villain Harley Quinn-inspired T4 PVP set.

DCUO - Game Update 25 - Punchline T4 PVP Set (Villain)

Went on to the Test server today to check out the Punchline T4 PVP set for villains. Looks damn nice! One thing that bothers me though, is that it is going to be annoyingly difficult to obtain. You now have to purchase a full set of T1 PVP gear before you can puchase the T2 PVP gear. You have to purchase a full set of T2 PVP gear before you can purchase the T3 PVP gear. You then have to purchase the full set of T3 PVP gear before you can purchase the T4 PVP gear. This means not only buying all the 8 body pieces (head, legs, chest, shoulders, belt, gloves, boots, back), but also includes weapon, face mask, necklace, 2 rings, trinket and utility belt. I predict many people will be spending a lot of replay badges to obtain this coming season's T4 PVP gear.

With Game Update 25, each PVP season will introduce five new levels of gear that are higher in PvP Combat Rating than the previous season. Aside from the entry level cash set, this will all be purchased with the same mark. So there's no more Tactic/Strategy separation earned in separate ways. So it will break down like this:

Tier 0: Cash - PvP CR 77 (Bloodbat / Archangel)
Tier 1: Valor - PvP CR 81 (Avatar Bombardier)
Tier 2: Valor - PvP CR 82 (Aeronaut)
Tier 3: Valor - PvP CR 83 (Logistics Officer)
Tier 4: Valor - PvP CR 84 (Punchline / Vengeance)

DCUO - Hackers, Speed-hackers and Macro users

First off, I'm not going to bother posting this on the DCUO forums as it will just get taken down. However, I want to spread awareness of some people using macros that I've encountered in arenas.

I've been doing a lot of 1v1 Lair Battle over the past several days and I've encountered a couple of people over the last couple of days whose weapon attacks are abnormally fast. They use Martial Arts (MA). However, unlike normal MA users, they attack with almost 1.5x the speed of normal MA users. Also, they use only weapon attacks and no powers.

There is a key pattern to the fights which I've observed. Some fights, they keep the macro turned off and the damage output feels within normal parameters. However, some fights when they turn it on, the attacks are unnaturally fast. I don't have the video clips to prove it. Just gut-feeling from my numerous fights with people in arena.

The 3 people whom I've encountered doing this abnormally high damage are Airsupreme, Xtantha, and Not Rooney. Airsupreme and Xtantha are hero characters on US PC. Not Rooney is a villain on US PC, who also goes by the name of Rooney on heroside. Airsupreme has a track record among both veteran heroes and villains as a macro user and speed-hacker. He's been handed numerous suspensions but hasn't been outright perma banned yet. If you see him on hero side, keep in mind his past record. He's an embarrassment to whichever league he's in.

Update:
Someone already posted some detailed info on detecting speed-hackers back in Dec 2011.
His description on points 1 and 4 matches my experience very closely.

DCUO - Origin Crisis - My Character's Origins

My character started off as a humble coffee boy serving drinks at Club L'Excellence, slowly working up the ranks to become one of Lex Luthor's most trusted aides. His intelligence and street smarts has earned him grudging respect from the top supervillains in the Society. The Joker refers to him as his 'errand boy'. Circe refers to him as her 'lieutenant'. Whatever the case, nothing is too hard for this supervillain to handle!
